Support Talent Brighten the Future

Our Vision

We envision a world where every Czech and Slovak student has open access to world class education, where financial barriers never limit their ambitions or potential.

Word class education is increasingly out of reach

Since the UK left the EU in 2019, undergraduate tuition fees have surged from £9,535 to over £40,000 a year. As a result, many Czech and Slovak students no longer see UK universities as affordable, turning instead to cheaper options in Europe. Our survey found that roughly half avoid applying to top universities due to financial concerns.

Furthermore, scholarship opportunities for Czech and Slovak students at Oxbridge are limited to just a handful of foundations that manage to support only part of the accepted students.

Our Mission

To show students that in Czechia and Slovakia, a supportive network stands ready to back their talent and passion if they demonstrate commitment to a world-class education, no matter their region, school, or family background.

Additionally, we aim to foster a “giving back” culture in our countries, where Czech and Slovak graduates of leading universities maintain connections with younger students and, whenever possible, contribute to helping them achieve their ambitions.

Private funding: a new way forward

Funding from private donors (crowdfunding) can open doors for aspiring students, providing opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach and inspiring them to pursue their dreams.

Bára's story: at just 15, Bára began her journey in science, working at labs driven by curiosity and discovery. When Brexit made studying abroad unaffordable, she turned to crowdfunding to fund her place at Oxford. After a successful undergraduate degree, she is now pursuing a PhD in Biochemistry at Oxford.

Three Support Pillars

We believe that funding for future students should be distributed across the following three categories.

Industry

Alumni

Philanthropy

Different ways to help

We propose three approaches that allow prospective students to finance their studies. We have also developed streamlined mechanisms, including predefined donation agreements and a system for directly paying university fees, to ensure that supporting future students is as simple and hassle-free as possible for donors.

How it will work

Our program is designed to make supporting talented students simple, transparent, and impactful. We act as a trusted intermediary between students and donors, ensuring that every contribution directly benefits those in need. As the intermediary, we carefully verify students’ financial need and manage all administrative processes, from coordinating with donors to handling tuition payments. This ensures that your support reaches students efficiently, while giving you full confidence that your generosity is making a real difference.

To facilitate this, we have established a dedicated Nadační Fond with a fully transparent bank account. This setup allows all donations to be tax-deductible and guarantees that 100% of contributions go directly toward covering students’ tuition fees.  We also encourage potential sponsors to reach out to students directly if they wish to not donate via our Nadační Fond.
