How It Works
Our organisation serves as an intermediary between students and donors. We do not choose recipients, guarantee funding, or define the conditions of support ourselves. Instead, donors decide independently which students they wish to support and under what terms.
01
You submit your application
Fill out the application. Your profile will then be reviewed, and we may contact you with suggestions for improvements to make your profile more attractive to sponsors.
03
Donors recommend whom to support
They may contact you directly or through us.
05
Tuition is paid to the university
We mediate of the payment of the fees and ensure the support is transferred correctly.
02
Your profile is shared with potential donors
Your profile will be published on this website and sent out directly to our network of donors. The date of this release will be depending on when you submit your application.
04
You and the donor agree on the form of support
We will help establish a contractual framework for the financial support, although some donors may require extra conditions. If a donor proposes unclear, unexpected, or uncomfortable terms, you should reach out to us immediately.
Within the form you will provide the following
-
An offer letter from Oxford or Cambridge
-
A recent photo
-
Your 250-word pitch explaining why donors should support you (in Czech or Slovak)
-
CV
-
A financial plan for the entire degree (requested amount, expected family contribution, additional sources)
-
A signed declaration of financial honesty
-
A signed data consent form
Respect the Deadlines
The sooner the better, but applications must be submitted before the deadline of each fundraising wave:
-
Wave I: 31 January
-
Wave II: 31 March
-
Wave III: 31 May
Sponsorship Conditions and Student Expectations
Because the support comes directly from donors, conditions of may vary. However, if the donor decides to donate via our foundation, these funds will be available only to cover tuition fees paid directly to the university.
To ensure smooth and effective fundraising, students are expected to:
-
Provide complete and accurate information in the application and all following communication
-
Communicate promptly with donors (or through us)
-
Submit their tuition invoice and other required documents on time so we can process the payment
-
Respect the terms agreed upon in their donor contract
If a donor suggests unreasonable or unclear conditions, contact us immediately and we will help mediate and ensure the arrangement remains appropriate.
