Why Donate?

Every year, brilliant Czech and Slovak students receive offers from the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, excellent world class institutions. Acceptance itself is an achievement of a lifetime. Yet since Brexit, tuition fees for non-UK students have risen to more than £40,000 per year, placing world-class education far beyond the reach of most families.

Our organisation exists to change that.

By connecting donors directly with accepted students, we ensure that financial barriers do not prevent talented young people from pursuing the education they have earned. Your support goes beyond a single student: it strengthens the Czech and Slovak academic communities, fosters innovation across industries, and builds future leaders who bring their skills back home.

Full Transparency & Direct Impact

We are deliberately structured as a transparent intermediary between donors and students. All funds donated through our foundation are applied exclusively to tuition fees, paid directly to Oxford or Cambridge once the student provides their university invoice.

How to help?

We propose and support three approaches that allow prospective students to finance their studies. For the following three types of financial help, we have predefined contracts which make helping out as easy as possible. We also allow customising the donation conditions to the benefactor's wishes, such as wanting the student to return back to the Czech or Slovak republic within some time after they graduate.

The student will donate money to future students, once their income allows them to do so

Scholarship conditions we support

Strong academic performance

Student has to pass all modules and their overall grade has to be 2.1 or higher (or equivalent)

Return to home country

Student has to return to home country in 10 years of graduation

Mentoring younger talented students

The student is obliged to mentor younger talented students within their field

Work at XYZ

The donor can specify that after graduating, the student is obliged to work in specific a company or institution (length of employment specified by donor)

How the process works

1. You Receive a List of Students

We identify students admitted to Oxford or Cambridge who are seeking financial assistance.

We then send you a list of suitable students from which you can choose whom to support. This process takes place in three waves (February, April, June), in line with the dates on which students receive their admission offers. You can view this list of students at any time on our website, where all profiles will be published.

contact students directly, or through our organization if you prefer

2. Deciding on Your Contribution and Terms

As a donor, you may contribute any amount.
You can support a student in two ways:
1. Use our customisable, pre-prepared donation agreements.
We provide ready-made agreement templates that you can adjust if necessary.
2. Agree on your own terms directly with the student.
If you prefer a fully individualized agreement, you may negotiate the terms of support directly with the student.

3. Signing the Agreement and Transferring the Funds

Once you have selected a student and agreed with them on the terms of support, there are two ways to make the donation. You can either provide financial support directly to the student, or donate the funds through our foundation. In the case of a donation to the foundation fund, this constitutes solely a recommendation of the student for financial support from the fund’s resources.

4. We Take Care of the Rest

At the start of the academic year, the student sends us their official tuition invoice from the university, and we pay the tuition on their behalf using your contribution.

If the student does not end up attending, the funds will be used for next year's cohort.
